THE FOUNDATION
Over an eleven year period Mike and Pat grew in knowledge and wisdom as God stirred theirs hearts with His Word and a strong call to the mission field.

In his early walk with the Lord, Mike served as a Sunday school teacher, youth leader and became very active in street ministry. As his love for the Lord deepened, so did his response to God's heart call to reach the lost. From Colorado, to Florida, to short term missions to Guatemala, Ecuador, Honduras and Haiti, God's call became undeniable.

Prior to the decision to move to Guatemala, Mike spent eight years in Florida as president and pastor of Jubilee Christian Center, Inc.--which became the "dba" legal covering for Mike's mission enterprise as Mike Black Ministries.

During the Black family's Florida residency, Mike taught street evangelism, and was active in jail and nursing home ministry, restoration ministry, music ministry, and performed additional outreach through a radio ministry. He also served as a member of I.C.F.M. and was on the local Board of Women's Aglow.

Finally, God's word to join in the harvest of souls on the mission field became so overpowering--Mike took a huge step of faith and moved with his family to Guatemala. His love for and dependency on God to supply all of his needs has been his strength throughout the many challenges, illnesses, miracles and times of rejoicing. All of which have served to humble Pat and Mike before the mighty and compassionate hand of our merciful God.
